Kadriorg Park - a garden in the autumn

Lovelier than ever...

Night view of Hong Kong island

Love that city, been there twice and want to go again sooner rather than later :)

Deer in Richmond Park

London is not all thousands of buildings and millions of people :)

Red flower feast

Macro is one photography genre that I have neglected so far.
I have this tendency to overlook tiny things and I need to (learn to) look deeper.

This image is tolerable I suppose, but I (will eventually) need a dedicated macro lens.
The shot taken with Samsung 30mm with +4 diopter add-on and then heavily cropped :)

My reflection

I took this weird self-portrait on the day for which I had waited 15 years - QPR returning back to the Premier League after the FA hearing farce concluded without points deduction on the final day of the season :

New Wembley stadium

While I was attending the royal wedding in May, I could not find reasonably priced accommodation in the centre of London so I chose the Ibis Wembley hotel. I knew it was near the stadium, but this breathtaking view from my room exceeded my humble expectations :

Squirrel gets a nut

Squirrels are certainly not shy in London, here is one on my knee:

Railway views

I live not far from the railway and I find it quite a beautiful subject for photography.
These four photos were done in the "vivid" mode, click here to view them:

London's Royal Victoria Dock view at night

Stayed at a hotel there back in January.
One of the many former London docks, now residential areas.

Flak Tower in a park in Bremen

I spent two days in Bremen in June. It is a nice city not much bigger than Tallinn and it has a picturesque Old Town, too, although not as big and well-preserved, but then again Tallinn was only bombed a couple of times in WW2.
Came across this structure in the largest park in Bremen, marked only as a grey box on the park map, I wonder why ... or maybe I don't. Not explained, but not demolished either, with time taking its toll slowly. If all buildings could age as gracefully as this one :

Medieval Days of Tallinn

After the jump you will see some photos from the Medieval Days of Tallinn last weekend,
including authentic medieval football :

Medieval QPR crest ?

My first blog post is a cheeky but toothless :) attempt at some controversy. Below is a photo I took the other day while walking in Tallinn's Old Town. This medieval coat of arms immediately reminded me of the new QPR crest. Is this an amazing coincidence or blatant plagiarism by the club? You decide :)

About Me

I have decided to start my own blog and do so in English as the language that all my friends and curious strangers are most likely to understand. I am a keen amateur photographer so here you will see my own photos with some occasional comments. If you want to use any of my photos for something, please let me know!
